Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit the Kincora Investors Program website.

Kincora Trad Fest is an annual traditional music festival established in Killaloe and Ballina in 2013. The festival is run by a volunteer working group to promote traditional music, song and dance in the community. Over the past 5 years we have worked creatively to produce diverse event programs that are accessible to all.

It is important to us that local contributors to the national repertoire are acknowledged. Since 2013 we have celebrated the Connolly, Goff and Collins families, Michael Scanlan and ‘The Piper’ Tony Keegan. Recognising the works of local artists has seen Kincora Trad Fest become a reflective space for the community to acknowledge and celebrate it’s music traditions.

Engage   Educate   Entertain

In our first 5 years many of the finest exponents of traditional music, song and dance have accepted our invitation to bring the wider tradition’s regional music styles and the best traditional music entertainment and education to Killaloe and Ballina. Year-on-year our attendances have grown and the cornerstone of the festival, our annual music workshops have provided the very best traditional music tuition to over 400 students.

Locals Broadcast

Kincora Trad Fest has featured on national and local media, recording twice for RTE Radio 1’s prime-time traditional music program Céilí House. In 2015 the festival launch ‘Remembering the Piper’, celebrating Tony the piper Keegan at the Piper’s Inn Ogonnelloe was recorded for a two-hour broadcast on Clare FM’s The West Wind with Paula Carroll.

The support we have received over the past five years has helped us cultivate a healthy space for the festival to grow. With a view to ensuring the Kincora Trad Fest’s remains sustainable into the future we invite supporters, who may be in a position to help us continue to growth and enrich the musical life of Killaloe and Ballina to make a financial pledge to support our work.

Details about how you can make a pledge to support Kincora Trad Fest along with some background information on the festival and the local music tradition can be viewed in our Kincora Investors Program slide-show in the main menu above. Thank you.
