Established in 1936, The St Patrick’s Pipe Band Tulla is the last surviving pipe band in County Clare. Recognised both at home and internationally as a highly prestigious pipe band they are one of only a handful of pipe bands to have survived since the 1930’s.
In their eighty plus years the band has been a familiar feature of the sporting and cultural life of Co Clare and Ireland and no county final day would be the same without their presence. In 2011 they were the first pipe band to perform for an International football contest at the AVIVA stadium.
In 2013 they lead the victorious Clare hurlers home to a 30,000 plus crowd. One of the band’s international highlights came about in 2014 when they lead the NYC County Clare Association along 5th Avenue at the annual St Patrick’s Day parade in New York.
In 2016 Clare Co. Council feted the band with a civic reception to mark their 80th anniversary.
The St Patrick’s Pipe Band are popular performers at Kincora Trad Fest. Since the festival began they have only missed one festival this year we secured them on time to ensure we don’t miss out again!
