Caoimhe Kearins

Caoimhe hails from Collooney, outside the town of Ballymote, Co. Sligo. She is one of the finest exponents of lilting, traditional singing and fiddle playing in Ireland.

Caoimhe is the current Fiddler of Dooney, following in the footsteps of an illustrious line of previous winners that include fellow Sligo fiddle players Seamus Maguire (1966), his brother Manus (1970) and Jason McGuinness (2016).

Lilting from a young age she now holds All-Ireland titles in all age groups up to and including the senior all-Ireland title.

Caoimhe is also a very accomplished traditional singer and has won the coveted Connacht senior traditional singing title on a number of occasions as well as winning the senior all Ireland title in 2011.
